Introduction
In the Mists of Pandaria, while improving your reputation with the Order of the Cloud Serpent, you raised a cub Cloud Earth. Completing routine and daily tasks, you raised the cub, watched it grow older and stronger, and finally transform into a riding Cloud-Earth. Battle for Azeroth has a hidden quest chain that will give you a very similar experience. During the adventure, you may find a terrodactyl egg that you will have to take care of. It is from this egg that an unusual terrodactyl named Qua'von will hatch in the future. You'll have to perform regular and daily tasks for a full 29 days and with each task your cub will grow until it becomes an adult terrodactyl. The quests take a long time to complete, but you'll be rewarded at the end.
And don't forget, for collectors on Wowhead, there are tools to keep track of Combat Pets and Means of Transport! Just select your server and character to download the full list. You can learn more about this feature here!

Rewards
By completing Just Temporal Difficulty, the last quest in the chain, you will receive Qua'phon's Harness. For the first time, Qua'phon will be unable to fly. It's not known if this is a fluke or intended, but Alliance characters can use this means of transportation, though the quest chain is only available to the Horde. You'll also get the How to Tame a Terrodactyl achievement.
In Patch 8.2 Return of Azshara, players who have completed Just Temporary Challenges and received the Battle for Azeroth Part 2 Primordial Achievement will be able to complete an additional quest that will result in Qua'von learning to fly.
Assignments and Daily Quests
To begin this exciting adventure, you will need a Terrodactyl Egg. It can be obtained with a very small chance from some terrodactyls in Zandalar, such as the Bloodthirsty Terrodactyl in Zanchula and the Brito-Winged Terrodactyl in the Brito-Winged Nest. Once you receive the egg, you can begin the Pa'ku's Child quest. Take the egg to Pa'ku the Vertex of Terrodactyls. To get there, follow the trail that begins south of the Battle Lizard Kraal. Pa'ku will put you in charge and offer you a task Now this is your problem. Go to the southern edge of the Terrodactyls Peak and place an egg in the nest.
Wait for the Qua'von to hatch and - voila - you now have your own terrodactyl cub! Inexperienced at fostering terrodactyls, but as soon as your cub let out a terrodactyl yelp, you knew he needed your help. Cri-ee-ee! Pa'ku explains that the cub is hungry, then tells you to look up food in the Battlemage Kraal. The butcher Ta'ki, who is just north of the flight steward in Battle Lizard Kraal, will agree to sell you a Snack for the dinosaur. Once you've taken the snack to Qua'phon, he'll eat and go to sleep. And you will meet Breeder Goji, who will offer to help you raise the cub.
Step One: Nature Versus Fostering
The Nature vs. Fostering quest will unlock a set of daily quests. You'll be able to take the first of these after the next daily quest update. Also, an experience bar will appear above the Qua'background. Daily Qua'phon and Goji Breeder tasks will slowly build up experience, so you'll be able to use up your Goji or Qua'phon daily tasks to gain experience. You'll collect experience for a total of 7 days. When your experience bar is full, you can complete Nature versus Nurture and take the next quest in the quest chain - Call of Heaven.
If you've gained the experience you need and your experience bar is empty again, but you can't complete the Nature vs. Nurture quest, re-enter the game and a question mark should appear above Qua'phon's head.
You will receive one daily task each from the list below. This quest is chosen at random, but the quests will be the same for all players in this stage of the chain.
Sniffing for Trouble Find your cub and kill the Aggressive Sharpwing he has summoned to fight. Qua'von may be in different locations, but always within the marked area on the map. You can see the exact location of the Qua'phon on the mini-map when you get close enough.
Cri-ee-ee! Feed Qua'phon the Dinosaur Snack. You can buy snacks from Tacky the Butcher in Martial Lizard Kraal.
Cree-ee-ee... Click on Qua'phon to pick him up. Once you pick up your cub, you can return it to its nest immediately and complete the quest, or hold it for another 10 minutes. The duration will have no effect on the task's reward.
Qua'von is stuck on a cliff ledge; find a stick to help him down. Click on the stick, your toddler will descend and the task can be completed.
Qua'phon's First Flight
After completing the Nature vs. Nurture quest, you'll get the next one - Call of Heaven. Qua'phon will attempt to take off for the first time by jumping off a ledge. Unfortunately, the attempt will fail and he will fall. Pa'ku will explain that there's nothing wrong with the little guy, but you have to teach him not to be afraid to try again.
Take the Fear of Fall assignment and go after the little terrodactyl down to Talandji Bay. You'll find Qua'phon under the wreckage of a ship near the edge of a cliff. The little guy is too scared to come out, so you'll have to retrieve 8 pieces of Glitter Meat from the Fat Glitterbugs that inhabit the waters of Talandji Bay.
Offer the meat to the cub, and when it calms down, it will give a mission To its native nest and follow you. Take him back to the Terrodactyls' Peak. Qua'von doesn't take part in combat and will follow you even when you're on a vehicle, so feel free to run away. When you reach the nest, Qua'Von will jump in and fall asleep.
The Goji Breeder will offer you the Growth Prospects quest, which will unlock the second set of daily quests and an empty experience bar will reappear above Qua'phon's head. After the next daily quest update you'll be able to take the first of these quests, and you'll notice that Qua'phon has grown a little!
Step Two: Growth Prospects
It will take you a minimum of 14 days to complete the Growth Prospects quest. Each daily quest will add a little bit of experience to Qua'phon. You'll still be able to do one per day, but the tasks will be different, including some totally new ones. Each day one task is chosen randomly from a maximum of 5 possible tasks. All players in this phase of Qua'phon's upbringing will have the same tasks, but they will be different from the tasks of players in the other stages of the quest chain.
